This job, painted for Taylor Studios in Rantoul, Illinois, in 2011 and installed by them at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, was interesting because the mural would wrap around three sides of an exhibit. That meant that although the canvas was laid flat against the wall for painting, the perspective lines of the rails had to take into account the fact that the side section came out toward the viewer. Also, the central figure had to be of the same height and character of a 3-D cast figure standing in front of the mural in the painted figure’s line of sight. The blurred area at the central figure’s feet was to be obscured by objects in front of the mural.
