For the new genet exhibit at the Erie Zoo in Pennsylvania, I painted an Australian sunset in November 2012. And I finally learned at least what a genet looks like when the Zoo sent this photo of an inhabitant enjoying his mural. Genets are nocturnal animals, which may explain that caught-in-the-headlights look in his eyes from the camera’s flash.
