From 1987 to the present, I’ve probably done two dozen murals for Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry, most of which were did not survive the temporary exhibits of which they were a part, because the Museum creates a lot of temporary exhibits.
The Star Trek exhibit, the Christmas stage backdrops, large earth and moon craterscape, the back end of the 727, the Wheels exhibit, the Carrier flight deck mural and the overhead superstructure illusion in the Navy exhibit, have all retired to that Great Museum Warehouse in the sky.
