I’ve painted murals for three environmental centers for the Philadelphia Fairmont Park Commission over several years: Pennypack Park Environmental Center, the Wissahickon Environmental Center, often called the Tree House, and the Cobb’s Creek Environmental Education Center. While the subjects were the same — local flora and fauna — the variety of images was very satisfying, and being a nature center frequenter myself, I enjoyed seeking out many of those flora and fauna nearby for reference.
This is a modern interpretive center near a dam that can be seen in one of the murals.
